Classic Cinemas’ CEO Chris Johnson (left) and Marketing Manager Mark Mazrimas (right) recently presented a donation of more than $17,000 to Angelique Barthel, Executive Director of Variety Club of Illinois Children’s Charities, at Classic Cinemas’ corporate offices in Downers Grove.

The funds support the annual Variety’s Club Gold Heart Pin campaign. Sold for $3 each at area movie theatres, Variety’s Gold Heart Pins are collected and worn by millions of people around the world as symbols of their support for the organization as well as the disabled and disadvantaged children who are helped by its programs and facilities. The Gold Heart Pin campaign is one of Variety’s most recognized and successful global fundraising programs.
