Chamber of Commerce Month
September 13-19 is Chamber of Commerce Week in Illinois, and we’re celebrating all month long in Elmhurst!
The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry will host a full month of networking events and offer special recruitment incentives for new and returning members.
Chambers of Commerce play a vital role in strengthening our local economy and supporting businesses of all sizes. From advocating for our members to driving community initiatives and creating networking and leadership opportunities, the Chamber is truly at the heart of economic development.
To mark the occasion, Mayor Scott Levin will issue a Mayoral Proclamation recognizing Chamber of Commerce Week in Elmhurst at our Business After Hours hosted by Ella’s Italian Pub on Friday, September 11, from 3 to 5 p.m., kicking off Rock The Block weekend.

Honoring Those Who Serve
September also provides meaningful opportunities to honor those who serve. On Wednesday, September 9, the Elmhurst American Legion THB Post 187 will host our Chamber Membership Breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. Two days later, the City of Elmhurst and Elmhurst Fire Department will commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11 with a Day of Remembrance Ceremony at 9 a.m. at Firehouse #2. We encourage our members to join our community in honoring the lives lost and the courage and sacrifice of our first responders.
Disaster Loans Available After July Rainfall
Low-interest federal disaster loans are now available following excessive rainfall in the Chicagoland area July 2–4. Eligible homeowners, renters, businesses and certain nonprofit organizations in DuPage County and surrounding counties may apply through the U.S. Small Business Administration. Loans may help cover eligible losses not fully covered by insurance.
The deadline to apply for physical property damage is Oct. 5, 2026, while economic injury applications are due May 5, 2027. Learn about eligibility, loan programs, application assistance and Disaster Loan Outreach Center locations at DuPageCounty.gov.
