Fun Summer Series Runs June 8th– August 10th

 

Downers Grove, IL – Classic Cinemas has announced the movie lineup for the 2016 Wednesday Morning Movie Series!  For the first time, the popular weekly series will run each Wednesday for 10 weeks from June 8th through August 10th and include two surprise movies.All of the films are rated G or PG, ensuring a family-friendly experience for every child. Doors will open at 9 AM, with the movies starting at 10 AM.  General admission is $1 per person.  Games and costumed characters will be on hand to entertain the children before show time.

 

 

Reservations will be taken in advance for groups of 15 or more at most Classic Cinemas locations, with a special group rate of only $6.00 per person. This includes admission, Kiddie Combo and reserved seats to allow groups to be seated together.

June 8“Shaun the Sheep Movie” (PG/86 min)

Shaun the Sheep thinks and acts like a person in a barnyard, which usually gets him into trouble. When he decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. Voiced by John Sparkes and Justin Fletcher.

 

June 15 “Norm of the North” (PG/90 min)

A polar bear of many words, Norm’s greatest gripe is simple: there is no room for tourists in the Arctic. But when a maniacal developer threatens to build luxury condos in his own backyard, Norm does what all normal polar bears would do…he heads to New York City to stop it. Voiced by Rob Schneider and Heather Graham.

 

June 22“Goosebumps” (PG/103 min)

A teenager teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author R. L. Stine after the writer’s imaginary demons are set free on the town of Madison, Delaware. Starring Jack Black.

 

June 29“Minions” (PG/91 min)

Minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob are recruited by Scarlet Overkill, a super-villain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world. Voiced by Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm and Michael Keaton.

 

July 6“Hotel Transylvania 2” (PG/89 min)

Dracula and his friends try to bring out the monster in his half human, half vampire grandson in order to keep Mavis from leaving the hotel. Starring the voices of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez.

 

July 13“The Peanuts Movie” (G/88 min)

Snoopy embarks upon his greatest mission as he and his team take to the skies to pursue their arch-nemesis, while his best pal Charlie Brown begins his own epic quest back home to win the love of his life. Featuring the voices of Trombone Shorty, Rebecca Bloom and Kristin Chenoweth.

 

July 20“Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Road Chip” (PG/92 min)

Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in Miami…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother. Voiced by Jesse McCartney, Anna Faris and Christina Applegate.

 

July 27“Space Jam” (PG/90 min)

Michael Jordan agrees to help the Looney Tunes play a basketball game vs. alien slavers to determine their freedom.
