Various local organizations will be participating and all are welcome to attend.

On March 2, I will travel to Springfield to meet with members of the Illinois legislators and fellow chamber of commerce executives from across the state for the first time since the start of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, as part of Chamber Day 2022 with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE).

Pritzker signed into law a comprehensive gambling bill featuring a Video Gaming Act amendment that will allow qualified nationally-chartered fraternal and veterans organizations to apply for a video gaming license if the proposed establishment meets specified criteria—even if currently prohibited in home-rule communities, as is the case here in Elmhurst.

As we move into Fourth Quarter of 2021’s consumer holiday season, I am still stunned by the employment numbers that purport continuing job growth at the same time that millions of positions remain unfilled as American workers struggle with new career choices and concerns over Coronavirus (COVID-19) and related vaccination mandates in the workplace.

While Elmhurst’s Memorial Day Parade was cancelled for a second straight year due to Restore Illinois Bridge Phase Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic restrictions, a Second Annual “Always Remember” Convoy took place on May 31, followed by the traditional in-person Military Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in Wilder Park.  Click HERE to watch both events.
