
Multiple Grammy Award-winner Frank Myers will headline a quartet of Nashville songwriters performing at the Sixth Annual Military Benefit, titled ‘Stories Behing the Songs,” in the Normandy Banquet Room at Elmhurst American THB Post 187 on Saturday, October 18, from 6 to 10 p.m. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.
This year’s benefit is being staged in partnership with DuPage County Toys For Tots, with ticketholders encourage to donate an unwrapped NEW toy at the venue.
The ticket cost of $125 per person includes an open bar and food donated by several of Elmhurst’s favorite restaurants.

The benefit also will feature a brief live auction of collectible donations, including a guitar autographed by the artists.
Myers has 20 Number One songs and 20 Top Ten songs on his writing/performing resume for artists such as Alabama, Chris Young, Eddie Raven, John Michael Montgomery, Lone Star and more. He spent nine years and Raven’s guitarist and four years with Marie Osmond.
Joining Myers onstage will be internationally-known producer, A-list session player, actor and touring musician Jimmy Nichols, songwriter-artist and producer Jeff Dayton and singer-songwriter Sarah Darling. Nichols has toured with or recorded with a Who’s Who list of illustrious performers, including Faith Hill, Tom McGraw, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and even Elton John.Dayton led Glen Campbell’s band for 15 years and has played guitar on tour for megastars Kenny Chesney, Lee Greenwood, Willie Nelson, Vince Gil, Tony Keith and Tanya Tucker.
Darling has recorded five albums of her own, including a No. 1 on the United Kingdom country charts. She has performed on the CMA Music Fest and has made supporting appearances for Carrie Unerwood, Scotty McCreery, CMT and others.
The artists also will participate in a post-event celebration held at Riley’s Gathering Place.
