Dear ECCI Members,
Summer in Elmhurst is in full swing, and there are many ways to celebrate: The Farmers Market is in a brand-new location on Brush Hill Road and the Elmhurst History Museum opened a new outdoor performance stage. Additionally, the Spring Road Business Association is offering its annual Music at the Gazebo summer concert series, and there are so many yummy outdoor dining options to explore.
Last month I had the honor of speaking to the Rotary Club about our work at ECCI, and I joined the Elmhurst Park District to celebrate the grand opening of Canine Corner with my golden retriever, Bradley Cooper. It’s always a privilege to represent ECCI at community events.
One of our favorite annual traditions is coming up soon—the 35th Annual New Teachers Luncheon on Tuesday, August 6. We’re proud to partner with Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205’s New Educator Academy to give incoming teachers a warm Chamber welcome. Registration is now open, and there are several ways for members to get involved, whether through event sponsorship, donating items for welcome bags, or simply attending the luncheon.
On the advocacy front, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce just released its End of Session Report for the 2025 Legislative Session.
