Elmhurst Mayor Scott Levin and former Mayors Tom Marcucci, Pete DiCianni and Steve Morley will headline a roast of yours truly in the Normandy Banquet Room at Elmhurst American Legion THB Post 187 on Friday, February 2, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Ticket cost is $25 per person, plus a cash bar, with all of the proceeds will benefit Post 187.  Click HERE to purchase tickets.

The roast is a presentation of the Elmhurst Armpit Orchestra under the direction of Rich Reichert of Community Bank of Elmhurst and Scott LaMorte of Itasca Bank & Trust.  LaMorte, a member of the ECCI Board of Directors, will serve as the event’s emcee.

Limited 2024 Dues Increases
Member businesses which are not yet part of one of our Chamber’s three membership tiers will see a slight increase in their annual or monthly dues in 2024 from $33, $35 and $38 per month to $35, $38 and $40 per month to transition them to the Basic Tier of $480 by the end of 2025.

When our Chamber adopted membership tiers back in 2018 in conjunction with the Centennial Celebration (100th Anniversary), members paying employee-based dues were “grandfathered” in for a five-year period, which has since been extended two years due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“State of Our City” Mayoral Address
Elmhurst Mayor Scott Levin will deliver his Annual “State of Our City” Mayoral Address at the Chamber’s Membership Breakfast sponsored by Community Bank of Elmhurst, 330 West Butterfield Road, in the second-floor Hammersmith Community Room on Thursday, January 18, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.  Click HERE to register.

After the program airs live via the internet, the video will be posted to Elmhurst TV’s YouTube page and our Chamber’s website, and will air of Comcast Channel 6 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99 through February.

State of the County Multi-Chamber Luncheon
DuPage County Board Chair Deb Conroy will deliver her second State of the County Address at a multi-chamber luncheon and business expo at the Westin-Lombard in Yorktown Center on Wednesday, January 17, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Ticket costs are $35 per member and $45 per non-member.  Click HERE to register.

ECCI Centennial Celebration NFP
Since last Giving Tuesday (November 28), nearly $5.1K in tax-deductible donations have been made to the ECCI Centennial Celebration NFP to support the Civic Hall of Fame Public Memorial Fund, Second Century Fund and Ralph P. Pechanio Student Internship Endowment Fund at Elmhurst University.

2024 Elmhurst Community Directory
By mid-January, copies of the 2024 Elmhurst Community Directory will be Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM)-delivered to some 19,800 residential, business and Post Office Box addresses across Elmhurst.  A pageable version of the Directory also will be available to view online via our Chamber website’s home page and at ISSUU.com.

Some 53 member businesses and not-for-profit organizations purchased nearly $44K in display advertising (at the same rates as back in 2017), netting our Chamber nearly $11K in non-dues revenue prior to cost accounting.

Buck-A-Duck Raffle
Congratulations to Eric Weech of Alan Heating Air Conditioning and his wife Tammy on winning the Buck-A-Duck Split-The-Pot Raffle final drawing during the December 7 Holiday Business After Hours hosted by Community Bank of Elmhurst, after becoming the 17th and final qualifier earlier than evening.

The year-long fundraiser netted conducted at ECCI’s monthly networking events netted our Chamber nearly $1K in additional non-dues revenue.

During 2024, a Buck-A-Duck winner will split the pot collected at each networking event.

Elmhurst-Opoly Board Games
With less than 50 remaining in stock, now is the time to purchase an Elmhurst-Opoly board game while supplies last.  The $25 cost includes retail sales taxes and delivery is free within Elmhurst.  Games can be shipped, with the purchaser paying the cost.

The Edible Arrangements franchise in downtown Elmhurst has changed owners from Linda Ekendahl to Ala Abutabanjeh.

The Chamber said goodbye to the following eight members in December:  All Suburban Plumbing & Sewer Service, Duraclean Restoration Specialists, Elmhurst Brewing Co, Kie and Kate Couture, Krafted Burger Bar + Tap, Nana’s Hot Dogs Unlimited, R Building Services, Travel Pro John.
