Predict the Oscars Contest Winner at York Theatre

Kevin McCarty Wins A Year Of Free Movies

Elmhurst, IL – The Oscars have been awarded, the stars have gone home, and Classic Cinemas is announcing the winners of its annual “Predict the Oscars” contest.

Elmhurst resident Kevin McCarty takes home the prize, and will receive a one-year movie pass along with four passes to the Brookfield Zoo. McCarty submitted his ballot at York Theatre at 150 North York Street in Elmhurst, IL.

“I’m really excited,” comments McCarty. “This was my first time entering.”. An Elmhurst native, McCarty has been going to York Theatre for ten years and is an avid movie fan.

This year, a record high 8,360 ballots were cast in predicting the Oscar winners in seven categories:  Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Animated Film. “I really liked Argo and Django,” opines McCarty, “and I think Christoph Waltz deserved the Oscar [for Best Supporting Actor]. He really killed that role!”

Each Classic Cinemas theatre selected one first-place winner from the correct ballots entered at that location. The remaining correct ballots entered at the York Theatre will receive a pair of movie passes to any Classic Cinemas location and a pair of tickets to the Brookfield Zoo.
