President’s Message for July 2023
Thanks to all who sent their kind thoughts, well wishes and offers of assistance in advance of my June 21 right knee replacement surgery at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, and cards and food since. I have recovered well enough to spend time in the office every day this past week, but I look forward to a long weekend off in celebration of the Fourth of July.

True Patriots Care Displays American Flags in Wilder Park
In conjunction with Elmhurst’s 105th Memorial Day Parade, True Patriots Care will stage a patriotic display of 1,580 American flags in the Wilder Park on the lawn east of the Wilder Mansion from Thursday through Monday, May 25-29.
Vietnam Veteran Is Elmhurst Memorial Day Parade Grand Marshal
Elmhurst resident Russell F. Caforio, a Vietnam War combat veteran while serving in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant, will serve as the Grand Marshal for Elmhurst’s 105th Memorial Day Parade through downtown Elmhurst on Monday, May 29, stepping off from York and Third streets at 9:30 a.m.

Elmhurst’s Umbrella Sky Project made its official debut in the Schiller Walkway in downtown Elmhurst the evening of April 29, with additional displays going up along north York Street and outside the Elmhurst Art Museum over the next two weeks, respectively.
