The City of Elmhurst is excited to announce the Explore Elmhurst Express Trolley is back for the holiday edition “Holly Trolley” on Saturdays, from November 26 through December 17, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

No tickets are needed to ride.  While onboard, riders will receive a guide to special offers from businesses in town and have a chance to enter-to-win prizes.

Connecting downtown Elmhurst with the Spring Road and York and Vallette business districts, the trolley will follow the same route as the summer trolley program.

Special Explore Elmhurst signs will mark each stop and public parking is conveniently located near each trolley stop.​

  2. York and Schiller 
  3. Second and Addison
  4. Cottage Hill and Virginia 
  5. Spring and the Illinois Prairie Path
  6. York and Vallette 

Where’s the trolley? Don’t waste your time thinking about when the trolley will arrive at each stop. Track the trolley here!

The Explore Elmhurst Express is handicapped accessible and ADA-compliant, and can accommodate strollers that collapse or fit into the seating area of the trolley, while non-collapsible strollers and bicycles not allowed.

Ask the trolley driver for a free ticket and enter-to-win weekly prizes while riding the trolley.

December 10:

  • Elmhurst History Holiday Tour (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
  • Frozen Character “Anna” & “Elsa” (2 to 4 p.m.)
  • Elmhurst Choral Union Carolers (4 to 6 p.m.)

December 17:

  • Frozen Characters “Anna” & “Elsa” (12 noon to 2 p.m.)
  • Elmhurst Library Storytime on the Trolley (2 p.m.)
