The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry will recognize Nicky Steinberg, owner of Mindset Media LLC and publisher of Elmhurst Living Magazine, as the 2025 Ambassador of the Year during its 107th Annual Awards Gala on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Three Oaks Ballroom at The Drake Oak Brook, Autograph Collection.
The Annual Awards Gala is a signature Chamber event that celebrates and honors individuals who exemplify leadership, service, and meaningful community engagement. The evening brings together business leaders, civic partners, and community members to recognize those who actively contribute to the vitality and spirit of Elmhurst.
The Ambassador of the Year Award honors an active Chamber Ambassador who exemplifies the Chamber’s mission through engagement, outreach, and consistent community presence. Steinberg was selected for her deep commitment to local storytelling, small business advocacy, and hands-on involvement throughout the Elmhurst community.
Steinberg is the publisher of Elmhurst Living Magazine, Elmhurst’s only monthly publication dedicated exclusively to celebrating the people, stories, and local character that make Elmhurst a unique place to live and work. Launched in 2022, the magazine has become a trusted platform for highlighting local businesses, nonprofits, and community voices. In addition to Elmhurst Living Magazine, Steinberg also publishes Clarendon Hills Living, Downers Grove Living, and Westmont Living.
A graduate of the Drake University School of Journalism, Steinberg brings more than 15 years of experience as an advertising and marketing leader, with a background in digital media and search engine marketing. Her transition into publishing reflects a desire to create meaningful, community-centered media that strengthens local connections and elevates the stories that matter most.
Steinberg is an active and engaged member of the Elmhurst business community and was recently appointed 2nd Vice Chair of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Her commitment to service also extends beyond the Chamber through her role as a board member for Hope’s Front Door, supporting families in need throughout the community.
At the heart of Steinberg’s work is a genuine passion for giving back. She is frequently involved in community events, supports fellow small business owners, and consistently uses her platforms to shine a light on the people and organizations that define Elmhurst. Elmhurst Living Magazine operates as a family-run publishing business alongside her husband and business partner, Brian, with their son Jack often lending a hand at community events.
“Nicky embodies what it means to be a Chamber Ambassador,” said Jennifer Veremis, President and CEO of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry. “Her dedication to supporting local businesses, assisting at events and ribbon cuttings, and making members feel welcomed and included helps strengthen our Chamber and the broader Elmhurst business community.”
The Awards Gala program will include a Pre-Awards Social beginning at 5 p.m., followed by the Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. and a post-awards celebration with dinner fare and a cash bar.
Tickets for the 107th Annual Awards Gala are available to Chamber members at $110 per person, $200 per couple, $760 for a table of eight, and $900 for a table of ten.
