The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) Board of Directors approved the appointment of a new director to fill a vacancy during its March meeting.

ECCI Director Steve Morley resigned from the Board after relocating out of state for work. The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Schwan, who will serve the remainder of the current term. Neil was officially sworn in at the April 14 board meeting.

Neil has been an active member of the ECCI Ways and Means Committee since 2024 and brings valuable experience in board governance and financial oversight. He is an expense reduction consultant and franchise owner with Schooley Mitchell, which he has proudly operated in Elmhurst for over five years. In his role, Neil helps businesses increase profitability by identifying and reducing everyday operating costs.

A 27-year resident of Elmhurst, Neil strongly believes that business is built on relationships and trust. Through long-term partnerships and ongoing monitoring, his firm ensures that savings are not only achieved, but sustained—allowing business owners to focus on growth and serving their customers.

Please join us in welcoming Neil to this leadership role. We look forward to his contributions and continued service to the Chamber and the Elmhurst business community.
