On Monday, May 27, thousands of patriotic citizens will line the streets throughout downtown Elmhurst and along the way to the Veterans Memorial in Wilder Park for the 101st edition of Elmhurst’s Memorial Day Parade—marking our community’s start of a second century to “Always Remember” our nation’s military men and women.

While the City of Elmhurst’s roots date back to the 1830s, it was back in 1918 that a group of some 60 prominent businesspeople gathered in H.O. Stevens’ home to establish the Elmhurst Boosters’ Club that developed into our Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry of today.
