Dear ECCI Members,
I hope everyone is staying warm during these frigid winter temperatures! We have so much happening at ECCI, and I’m excited to share a number of updates and highlights with you.
First, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to Community Bank of Elmhurst for hosting our Annual State of Our City Mayoral Address. The event brought together community leaders, business owners, and Chamber members for a meaningful and engaging morning.
Mayor Scott Levin delivered an optimistic and insightful State of the City address, highlighting Elmhurst’s continued growth and the opportunities ahead. Events like this underscore the importance of collaboration between our business community and local government, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us.
One of the ways we celebrate leadership and impact in our community is through our Annual Awards Gala. Our 107th Annual Awards Gala will take place on Friday, March 13, presented by The Drake Oak Brook, Autograph Collection, which is also celebrating 10 years as an ECCI member.
I am pleased to announce this year’s award recipients:
Business of the Year, John Noldan of Rate, Ambassador of the Year, Nicky Steinberg of Elmhurst Living Magazine, Civic Hall of Fame Inductee Cathy Jordan. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the individuals who make Elmhurst such a strong and vibrant community.
Sponsorship opportunities and tickets are now available at https://elmhurstchamber.org/gala2026
I’m also excited to share that our 2026 Community Directory has been delivered to nearly 19,800 businesses, residents, and P.O. boxes throughout Elmhurst. This year’s cover proudly features public art from across our community, highlighting the creativity and character that make Elmhurst so special.
I am incredibly pleased with how the directory turned out. It is a valuable resource for our community and a powerful reminder to shop local, support local, and think local. If you would like copies for your waiting areas, vestibules, or business, please let us know and we will be happy to drop them off.
ECCI Board of Directors approved the appointment of Tammy McGowan as Board of Directors Secretary for the 2026 term. A 25-year Elmhurst resident, Tammy brings valuable professional and civic experience to this role, and we look forward to her contributions to the Chamber and our business community.
Please join us in welcoming Tammy to this leadership role.
Our Chamber’s strength is rooted in the dedication of our members, Board of Directors, community partners, and staff.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming Chamber event.
Kind regards,
Jennifer Veremis
