Anniversary Celebrations
The Elmhurst Family YMCA (211 West First Street) will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of its ice rink on Friday, November 9, from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.  The cost for non-YMCA members is $4.00 per adult and $3.00 per child.  Skate rental is $2.00 per person.  Call 834-9200 for more information.

Annual Meeting/Silent Auction
Chamber members and their family, friends and employees are free to attend the Chamber’s 2001 Annual Meeting/Silent Auction at Elmhurst American Legion THB Post 187, 310 West Butterfield Road, on Monday, November 26, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.  After the 30-minute Annual Meeting, guests will enjoy two hours of complimentary food, non-alcoholic beverages and auction bidding.  A cash bar will be open.

Business After Hours
The Elmhurst Jaycees (P.O. Box 235) will host the Chamber’s Business After Hours at Doc Ryan’s, 490 Spring Road, on Wednesday, November 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Grand Opening
The Regional Organ Bank of Illinois (ROBI), 660 North Industrial Drive, will host a Grand Opening at its new Elmhurst headquarters on Friday, November 16, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Elmhurst College (190 Prospect Avenue) was ranked 13th among Midwestern comprehensive college in the U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Colleges” edition, while the College’s chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership and scholarship honor society, was among only seven of 275 chapters to be lauded as a “superior circle” by ODK’s national leaders.
Former IRS attorney and current member of the Chamber Board of Directors Patrick Sheehan of Patrick T.
