Annual Meeting/Silent Auction
More than 300 businesspeople and guests attended the Chamber’s Annual Meeting 2003/Silent Auction at Monty’s Elegant Banquets (703 South York Road, Bensenville) on November 18.

The Silverado Grill (447 Spring Road) received the A.J. “Toche” Terrones Business of the Year Award for 2003, with partners Jack Island and Dave Walradt accepting.

The Chairman’s Award went to Paul DeMichele of DeMichele Builders

(17 W 275 Rodeck Lane, Bensenville), a second-term member of the Board of Directors and two-term Treasurer.

Ambassador of the Year honors went to first-term Director and Ambassador Co-Chair Luisa Scala of Wide Scope Staffing Services (4415 West Harrison Street, Suite 232A, Hillside).

Also recognized were outgoing Directors Larry Carroll (1998-2003) of Elmhurst College and Erv Helmuth (2001-03) of the Holiday Inn Elmhurst.

Nearly $11,000.00 was raised in the 77-package Silent Auction, which featured 106 items generously donated by 84 member businesses, organizations and individuals.  The Chamber is looking for Cindy McCrossin, who won a 1-week stay in a plantation villa at Hilton Head Island, SC.

Business After Hours
The David Agency (385 North York Street) will host the Chamber’s Annual Holiday Business After Hours on Thursday, December 18, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Chamber Anniversaries
The following seven members are celebrating their Chamber anniversaries in November:
