Annual Meeting/Silent Auction,
plus Elmhurst Jaycees Casino Night
The Chamber will host its Casablanca-themed 2004 Annual Meeting/Silent Auction plus Elmhurst Jaycees Casino Night Benefit for the American Cancer Society’s 2005 Relay For Life in the new Waterford Banquet Room (a.k.a. Rick’s Cafй) at the Holiday Inn Express (933 South Route 83) on Tuesday, November 23, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m.  The Silent Auction, Casino Night and complimentary “Taste of Elmhurst” dining open at 6:00 p.m., following our 30-minute Annual Meeting.  Members can promote their business by donating to the Silent Auction and Casino Night Raffle Prizes, and/or contributing to the “Taste of Elmhurst.”  Letters of Transit are free to all Chamber members, Jaycees and their guests.

Chamber Anniversaries
The following four businesses are celebrating Chamber Anniversaries in November:

35 Years—The Fitzpatrick Company (832 Industrial Drive);

10 Years—Angelo’s Ristorante (247 North York Street) and My Friend’s Place Salon (112 West Third Street); and

Fall Luncheon
Identity theft expert Sharon Garchitorena, Financial Education Coordinator, State of Illinois Treasurer’s Office, will be the Keynote Speaker at the Chamber’s annual Fall Luncheon at the Diplomat West Banquet Halls (681 West North Avenue) on Friday, November 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Cost is $30.00 per member.

Synergistic Networks (180 West Park Avenue, Suite 210), a leading provider of relationship management, e-commerce and integrated solutions, has been named to the 2004 Deloitte Chicagoland “Technology Fast 50” by representatives of Deloitte & Touche, The American Stock Exchange, LaSalle Bank and Gardner Carton & Douglas.

Diane McGinnis, Community Liaison at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital (200 Berteau Avenue) and Chamber Ambassador, was named Woman of the Year for 2004 by the DuPage Federation of Republican Women in October.

Denise Jones, Vice President for Financial Affairs at Elmhurst College (190 Prospect Avenue), an EC employee since 1984 and a 1990 EC graduate, received an Alumni Merit Award on Homecoming Saturday on October 9.

WGN-TV Sports Anchor and Elmhurst resident Dan Roan will speak at the Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare Board of Governors’ 54th Annual Fall Benefit Dinner at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace on Wednesday, November 17, starting at 6:30 p.m.  The cost is $115.00 per person.  Proceeds benefit EMH’s Lombard Health Center and Diabetes Learning Center.
