500-PLUS TO ATTEND MULTI-CHAMBER MARCH LUNCHEON
 
            ELMHURST, Ill., March 15, 2010—More than 500 members from 19 Chambers of Commerce will meet for a networking luncheon that includes Keynote Speaker Tom Walter, Founder and CEO of Chicago-area Tasty Catering, at Bobak’s Signature Events at Seven Bridges, 6440 Double Eagle Drive I, Woodridge, on Thursday, March 25, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
            “This is a great opportunity for all of us to get together and exchange ideas and learn from our speaker,” said John Quigley, President and CEO of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

             Participating Chambers are Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Carol Stream, Darien, Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn, Hinsdale, Lisle, Lombard, Roselle, Villa Park, Warrenville, West Chicago, Westmont, Wheaton, and Woodridge.
            Harris Elmhurst, the Elmhurst Chamber’s A.J. “Toche” Terrones Business of the Year in 2009, is the local Chamber sponsor representing Elmhurst.
            More than 40 businesses from the participating Chambers will staff exhibitor tables before and after the luncheon.  Elmhurst will be represented by AnyTime Baskets, CompUcoach and OEC Business Interiors.
            Tom Walter’s presentation is titled, The Power of a Winning Brand Image: During Good Times and Bad.”
            A food service professional for more than 38 years, Walter has owned 27 businesses and is still active as a principal in seven of those corporations.  Three of those companies are startups by Tasty Catering Staff.
           Walter is known for his expertise in developing and maintaining company cultures, leadership and business infrastructures.
           In 2008 and 2009, Tasty Catering was named the number one Best Place to Work in Illinois in the small- to-medium category by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and Society of Human Resource Managers.
