Business After Hours
The Chamber’s Business After Hours will be co-hosted by Defrees & Fiske (200 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago) at Wok ‘N Fire (118 Schiller Street) on Tuesday, April 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Business Beautification Awards
The 2004 Elmhurst Business Beautification Awards breakfast cosponsored by the Chamber and Elmhurst Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) at Athar Restaurant (149 Addison Avenue) will air on Channel 6 on b>Comcast on Thursday, March 25, at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 28, at 6:00 p.m.  Ten of 12 recipients are Chamber members, including Athar, Bassett Furniture Gallery (621 West North Avenue), Bits N Pieces (108 West Second Street), Egg Harbor Cafй (140 Palmer Drive), Elm Brook Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center (127 West Diversey Avenue), Elmhurst Public Library (125 Prospect Avenue), Elmhurst Toyota (440 West Lake Street), Kubiesa, Spiroff, Gosselar, Acker & Kern, PC (533 West North Avenue, Suite 204), Mehta Motors (463 Spring Road) and York Community High School (355 West St. Charles Road).

The Elmhurst Police Department (125 East First Street) will host the Chamber’s Membership Breakfast on Thursday, April 15, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.

Newsmakers
Christie Cederborg, a Funeral Director at Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary (435 North York Street), recently qualified for re-certification of the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice (APFSP).  Academy credits were awarded based on her personal and professional growth in academic activities, professional activities, career review, and community and civic activities.

Lynn Marketing Group, formerly owned by Todd and Carol (Nelson) Collins, recently moved from Elmhurst to a 140,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility in Bloomingdale and is now doing a wide spectrum of marketing services as Diamond Marketing Solutions.

Timothy Christian High School (188 West Butterfield Road) won the Mock Trial State Championship in Springfield the first weekend in March and will compete at nationals in Florida over Mother’s Day weekend.  The title is Timothy’s fourth in five years and fifth in seven years.

“Salute to Hollywood” is the theme of the annual Pops Concert and Dinner Dance, sponsored by the Auxiliary of the Elmhurst Symphony Association (P.O. The Elmhurst Choral Union (P.O. St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The Elmhurst St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which the Chamber helps to sponsor, will air on Channel 6 of Comcast on Wednesday, March 24, at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 28, at 8:00 p.m.
