The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County invites nature explorers to join an in-person wildlife encounter during “Owl Outing” programs at Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center in Oak Brook on Thursday, Nov. 14 and Friday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.

During the event, visitors will get a chance to meet a live owl from Willowbrook Wildlife Center’s raptor program. They’ll learn about the adaptations that make owls such excellent hunters and go on a short hike to listen for owls in the wild. Participants should dress to be outdoors. Flashlights are optional but not encouraged.

“Owl Outing” is $8 per person. The Nov. 14 program is for adults only. The Nov. 15 program is for all ages, but adults must accompany children under 18. Advance registration is required by calling Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center at 630-850-8110.
