Business After Hours
Fifth Third Bank (105 South York Street) will host a special Business After Hours on Wednesday, May 1, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Illinois Main Street Conference reception sponsored by Elmhurst City Centre (2 City Centre) and a limited edition of Cool Cars Under The Stars.  The bank will present the Chamber with a check for $7000.00 to sponsor the City Centre Stage at Elmfest 2002 on June 7-9.

US Bank (536 South York Street), formerly Firstar Bank, and Schiller Real Estate, Inc. (540 South York Street) will co-host a Business After Hours on Wednesday, May 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Membership Breakfast
The Center for Speech and Language Disorders (195 West Spangler) will host the Chamber’s Membership Breakfast on Wednesday, April 22, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., concluding with cash prize drawings in the Second Annual $10,000 Raffle to benefit its “Help a Child Fund.”

Special Events
The Elmhurst Junior Women’s Club (916 South Chatham Avenue), with support from Plass Appliances (134 North York Street), is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Elmhurst Kitchen Expedition on Sunday, April 28, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.  Proceeds will benefit the Elmhurst Walk-In Ministry at St. Peter’s UCC (125 West Church Street) and other local charities.  Call Elizabeth Burkhart at 758-0467 for more information.

The Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst (P.O. Box 729) will hold their annual Pig Roast Fundraiser to benefit the Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association (NESDRA) Junior Wheelchair Basketball Program at Doc Ryan’s, 490 Spring Road, on Sunday, April 28, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.  The ticket cost of $25.00 per t-shirt covers two hours of food and beverage.

Art in the Park, Elmhurst’s 6th Annual Fine Art Festival, will take place in Wilder Park around the Elmhurst Art Museum, 150 Cottage Hill, on Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  “Art After Dark,” the Art Museum’s benefit, will be held Saturday ay 7:30 p.m.  Ticket costs are $35.00 for members and $40.00 for non-members.  Call 834-0202 for reservations.

Spring Luncheon
“A Salute to Those Who Protect and Serve” is the theme of the Chamber’s 2002 Spring Luncheon, which will be held at Elmhurst American Legion THB Post 187, 310 West Butterfield Road, on Thursday, May 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  An All-American lunch will be catered by Barbeque Jim’s Smokehouse (416-B North York Street).  Attendees are encouraged to dress in patriotic attire.  Ticket cost is $30.00 per person.
