Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announced on May 6 that barring any significant reversals in key Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic statewide indicators, Illinois will move into the Bridge Phase with higher capacity limits on Friday, May 14, and return to normal business operations as soon as Friday, June 11.

With the Elmhurst Memorial Day Parade cancelled for a second year in a row due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic Restore Illinois Phase 4 restrictions, the City of Elmhurst will re-stage the community-wide Always Remember convoy on Monday, May 31, at 9:30 a.m., followed by an in-person Military Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in Wilder Park.

The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) will begin registrations on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 9 a.m. EDT and open applications on Monday, May 3, 2021, at noon EDT for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund.  The online application will remain open to any eligible establishment until all funds are exhausted.
