Chamber Anniversaries
The following two businesses are celebrating their Chamber anniversaries in April:
10 Years—Jim Dhamer Plumbing Service, Inc. (103 West Prairie Avenue, Wheaton); and
5 Years—Cardinal Cartridge (862 Industrial Drive).
Also, E.L. Foust Co., Inc. (754 Industrial Drive), a Chamber member since 1996, and The Spice Merchant & Tea Room (108 West Park Avenue), one of the first Central Business District (CBD) Retail Development Grant recipient, are celebrating their 30th and second anniversaries in business, respectively.
Jaycees DSA Program
The Elmhurst Jaycees 53rd Distinguished Service Award Program honoring Bill and Charlotte Ralston of Elmhurst American Legion THB Post 187 will air on Channel 6 of Comcast during April on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. and Sundays at 6:00 p.m.
Membership Breakfast
The Elmhurst Police Department (125 East First Street) will host the Chamber’s Membership Breakfast on Thursday, April 15, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.

Elmhurst City Centre (2 City Centre), The Hardin Institute for Market Research at Elmhurst College (190 Prospect Avenue) and Semblex Corporation (199 West Diversey Annual) were recognized at The Business Ledger’s Annual Award for Business Excellence during a March 22 luncheon at the Hyatt Regency (1909 Spring Road, Oak Brook) in their respective categories of Business Associations, Educational Programs and Medium-Sized Companies. The Hardin Institute recently completed market research projects for both The Business Ledger (reader survey) and the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra (audience survey).
