Chamber Golf Outing
“Tee Off for Toche,” the Chamber’s 56th Annual Golf Outing, will be held at River Forest Country Club (15W468 Grand Avenue) on Monday, July 26, starting at 11:00 a.m. with registration and luncheon.  Golfers tee off at 12:30 p.m., with dinner service at 6:30 p.m.  The cost for golf with cart, lunch and dinner is $200 per person.  Dinner only is $50.  Numerous marketing opportunities are available.  Call 834-6060 for more info.

Cultural Campus Discussion
The City of Elmhurst (209 North York Street) and Planning Consultant HNTB will host a Cultural Campus Collaborative Open House and Discussion for the public at City Hall on Wednesday, June 16, at 7:00 p.m.  For more info, call the city’s Department of Planning, Zoning and Economic Development at 530-3100.

Health Insurance Seminars
MassMutual Financial Group (20 North Clark Street, Chicago) will hold a one-hour informational session on its Chamber-approved discount Long-Term Care Insurance and Disability Income Insurance at the Chamber Office on Wednesday, June 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Elmhurst Chamber and Elmhurst College (190 Prospect Avenue) co-hosted a Health Insurance Coverage Seminar for Small Business in the Illinois Room at the College’s Schaible Science Center on May 6, as part of a the nationwide Cover the Uninsured Week program.  Follow-up info is available at the Chamber office.

Memorial Day Parade
Elmhurst’s 86th Annual Memorial Day Parade, co-sponsored by the City of Elmhurst, Elmhurst American Legion THB Post 187 (310 West Butterfield Road), Elmhurst Veterans of Foreign Wars Walter A. Glos Post 2048 and Chamber, will air on “Elmhurst Our Kind of Town” on Channel 6 of Comcast in June on Fridays at 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 3:00 p.m.

Renee and Doug Montgomery bought Bits N Pieces (108 West Second Street) from Duane Foster and renamed the business Create-a Mosaic.  The phone number of 516-3430 remains the same.  The new website is www.creatamosaic.com.

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network (660 Industrial Drive) reported that needy patients received a record 972 lifesaving transplant organs donated by 309 families in 2003.  In addition, 870 families consented to bone, heart value and other tissue donations for medical transplants serving tens of thousands of patients.

Community Bank of Elmhurst (300 West Butterfield Road) has promoted Mark Martinello to Loan Officer.  Martinello joined CBE in 1997 and has served in the teller, finance and loan departments.

Special Events
Elmhurst College will host its Summer Extravaganza 2004, sponsored by Fifth Third Bank (105 South York Street), in the College Mall on Sunday, June 27, at 6:00 p.m.  Jazz vocalist Patti Austin is the featured performer.

The Wednesday Morning Movie Series at the York Theatre (150 North York Street) runs today though August 11, with movies starting at 10:00 a.m.  The cost is only $1.00 per person.
