Gone, But Not Forgotten
The Chamber is mourning the loss of two business icons in George Hammersmith Sr., 80, retired CEO of Elmhurst Chicago Stone and Co-Founder of Community Bank of Elmhurst, and Cecile Mack, 77, who, along with her husband, owned and operated Elmhurst Cleaners for years.
Business After Hours
Cardinal Cartridge (862 Industrial Drive) and Jem’s Culinary Services (P.O. Box 924, Lombard) will co-host the Chamber’s Business After Hours on Wednesday, July 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Elmfest on Cable TV
Elmfest 2004 will air on “Elmhurst Our Kind of Town” on Channel 6 of Comcast throughout July on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m., Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.
Friend of The Children
Chamber Board Chairman Rich Rosenberg, Owner of Phototek Corporation (533 Spring Road), Elmhurst Camera Image Center (535 Spring Road) and Ben & Jery’s Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt (539 Spring Road) will receive the “Friend of The Children Award” from the Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation (P.O. Box 291) at ECAF’s 9th Annual Golf Classic and Award Dinner at Oak Meadows Golf Course in Addison on Tuesday, August 3. Cost for golf with cart, lunch and dinner is $150 per person.
