Dear Members:

Thanks to the Marketing Committee of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the biennial Elmhurst Street Map is being rebranded in 2014 to better meet the needs of consumers and to increase the ROI (return on investment) for our display advertisers.

More than 19,100 copies of the rebranded publication, tentatively re-titled “Explore Elmhurst.  Places to Go.  Things to Do,” will be direct mailed to every residential, businesses and post office box address in Elmhurst in late May.

Some 2,900 copies will be distributed via the Chamber’s New Resident Greeter Box program (600 per year) and by advertisers, as well as municipal bodies such as the City of Elmhurst, Elmhurst Public Library and Elmhurst Park District.

The rebranding also will provide most advertisers with a savings of 10% to 20% off their 2012 pricing, with the cost per exposure starting at only 2.7 cents for a quarter-panel ad ($600), 4.1 cents for a half-panel ad ($900) and 5.5 cents for a full panel ad ($1,200).  Specialty panels range in price from $1,410 to $3,250.

Only 20 full panels worth of ad space will be sold, with nine panels on the Elmhurst map side and 11 panels on the side featuring maps of the city’s various business districts.

Community Bank of Elmhurst (back cover), DuPage Medical Group (inside front cover) and Visiting Angels of Elmhurst (facing inside front) are already reserved ad space.

Our Chamber has contracted with Red Caffeine (formerly Desert Rose Design) to design the ads and graphics, and with Elmhurst Suburban Life/Shaw Media to do the printing.

Website Directory Upgrades
Thanks to all the members who purchased banner ads—Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare, Humbert Insurance Agency and Sir Speedy Printing & Marketing Services—and/or upgraded their business directory listing on the Chamber’s website.
