Pedersen Ryberg Celebrates 60 Years and New Owner
In 1958, Vernon Pedersen purchased a large parcel of land comprised mostly of fruit orchards on which he designed and built his flagship funeral home to the highest standards available. Sixth years later, the company that still bears his name is now under new ownership and direction.

The Board of Directors of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry by special vote late in September passed a resolution of support for the proposed $168.5 million referendum for Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 on the ballot for the November 6 General Election.

Elmhurst Garden Club Wins National Awards
Elmhurst Garden Club, an Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry members since 1998, received four awards by National Garden Clubs, Inc., at the 89th Annual NGC National Convention held in Philadelphia from May 20-24, including two firsts, one third and one recognition.
