COVID-19 State Aid Deadline, Start-Up Is April 1
April 1 is both the deadline and start-up date for small businesses damaged by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic to apply with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (IDCEO) for a portion of $90 million in emergency grants and low-interest loans, respectively.

Illinois small businesses can tap into $250 million in low-interest bridge loans as soon as this week to help push through the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs announced on March 23.

Illinois Businesses Eligible for SBA Loans
As expected, the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) on March 19 approved Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker’s application for small businesses and not-for-profits across our state to be declared eligible for low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loan assistance of up to $2 million relating to financial damages caused to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.
