Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (IDCEO) on August 11 announced the $250 million Back to Business (B2B) grant program to support the continued recovery of small businesses across Illinois.

With support from a United States Chamber of Commerce coalition that includes the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the U.S. Senate today (August 10) overwhelming passed the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Job Acts of 2021. The DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) today strongly endorsed the recently updated CDC masking guidance which recommends everyone–including fully vaccinated individuals–wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas with substantial and high transmission.

DuPage County, in conjunction with Choose DuPage, is providing additional Reinvest DuPage grants to eligible businesses, nonprofits and 1099 workers impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic to use for business expenses such as payroll, rent and utilities.

Last October 30—with the State of Illinois shut down due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic—the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry co-staged the Inaugural Nashville Songwriter Fundraiser netting more than $14,000 to benefit Elmhurst American Legion THB Post 187 and the military veterans whom they serve.
