Elmhurst Changing Downtown Parking Times, Allocations
The City of Elmhurst will make changes to on-street and deck parking times and space allocations within the Central Business District (CDB), starting October 19, as approved at the October 5 City Council meeting based on the recommendation of the Public Affairs and Safety Committee (PA&S).

Edward-Elmhurst Health Merging with NorthShore System
NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) and Edward-Elmhurst Health on September 8 announced their intention to merge the two healthcare systems under a new parent system, pending regulatory approval. Governor Mandates Indoor Masking Across Illinois
As Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and hospitalization rates across Illinois increase—particularly in low-vaccinate-rate downstate communities–Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike on August 26 announced vaccination requirements for individuals in high-risk settings and new indoor mask mandates, effective August 30.
