- [ECCI Joins U.S. Chamber Coalition Supporting USMCA](https://www.elmhurstchamber.org/ecci-joins-u-s-chamber-coalition-supporting-usmca/): Hello Members, We are pleased to share that the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce signed onto the U.S. Chamber of Commerce coalition letter in support of the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA). USMCA is currently entering a formal review process (required under the agreement). During this review, the U.S. government will assess how well the agreement is working and whether any changes or renegotiations are needed. The U.S. Chamber is gathering signatures to show broad business community support for keeping the agreement strong and stable. This agreement is essential to the success of businesses throughout our region. It strengthens North American supply chains, supports manufacturers, expands market access for small businesses, and protects thousands of Illinois jobs that depend on trade with Canada and Mexico. Why USMCA Matters  13 million U.S. jobs depend on trade with Canada and Mexico. Canada and Mexico purchase more U.S.-made goods than the next 12 largest markets combined. About one-third of U.S. agricultural exports go to Canada and Mexico. The agreement ensures tariff-free access for most U.S. exports. - [Becoming A Member](https://www.elmhurstchamber.org/join-chamber/membership/): An organization of business and professional men and women who have voluntarily joined together on a mission of "promoting an environment that creates success for local businesses and our community,"  the Elmhurst Chamber (established in 1918) is the largest organization in the City of Elmhurst representing the needs of our business community and the third largest chamber of commerce serving County of DuPage.
- [Leadership](https://www.elmhurstchamber.org/leadership/): The Board of Directors of the Elmhurst Chamber is comprised of a minimum of 15 elected Directors serving 3-year terms (5 Directors with terms expiring in 2026, 2027 and 2028, respectively) and an annually-appointed Treasurer, plus 3 Ex-Officio members representing the City of Elmhurst, Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 and Elmhurst Park District.  Directors are slated by a five-member Nominating Committee and elected automatically if the slate is uncontested by the membership.  Typically comprised of Past Board Chairs, the Nominating Comittee is appointed by the Board Chair, with the approval of the Board.
