ELMHURST, IL – Join Theatre Historical Society of America on Saturday October 18, 2014 for the 2014 Classic Cinemas Historic Theatre Tour: a one-day bus tour of three of the Classic Cinemas’ historic theatres.

The tour will start in Elmhurst, IL with a tour of the York Theatre, journey to Oak Park to visit the Lake and then head to Downers Grove to visit the Tivoli. Before returning to Elmhurst, we’ll also stop into the Downers Grove Museum to see their exhibit on the Tivoli “Movie Magic: Celebrating 86 years of the Tivoli Theatre.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Classic Cinemas to showcase three of their historic theatres,” said Richard Fosbrink, Executive Director. “Classic Cinemas’ dedication to revitalizing these jewels and transforming them in to centers for community activity is something everyone should see for themselves.”

Registration fee includes bus transportation between theatres and a pizza lunch at the Tivoli Bowl.

Space is limited, early registration is encouraged. No on-site registrations will be accepted.
