Elmhurst Mayor Steve Morley will deliver the “State of Our City” Mayoral Address at the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Membership Breakfast hosted by Community Bank of Elmhurst, 330 West Butterfield Road, on Thursday, January 16, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Sponsored jointly by ECCI and Community Bank, the annual event is free to both Chamber members and special guests.

Seating is limited to 150 in the bank’s second-floor Hammersmith Community Room and reservations are required.  To RSVP, call the Chamber office at 630-834-6060 or visit the Upcoming Events calendar listing at www.elmhurstchamber.org.

Now in the middle of his second four-year term, Mayor Morley will apprise the Elmhurst business community on the successes of 2019 and access the municipality’s economic outlook for 2020 and beyond.

“This is traditionally among the Chamber’s best attended Membership Breakfasts,” said John R. Quigley, ECCI President and CEO since 1999, “and I expect that we will have another standing-room-only crowd.”

“Our members appreciate the Mayor’s interest in keeping them informed about the who, what, when, where and why of life in our community,” added Quigley.

A successful businessman himself who has worked with Fortune 500 companies, Mayor Morley is a Managing Member at Crown River Partners, a broker and advisor to small businesses, and the Principal at Every Door Direct Media, a consulting, marketing and print agency.  Both of his businesses are Chamber members.

“When attending Chamber events, Steve will half-jokingly point out whether he is wearing his Mayor’s tie or his businessman’s tie,” stated Quigley.

The program will be taped by “Elmhurst Our Kind of Town” for broadcast in February on Channel 6 of Comcast and Channel 99 of AT&T U-verse.

Established in 1918, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry promotes an environment that creates success for local businesses and our community.

The Chamber serves the needs of its members through services, programs and events that provide opportunities for networking and referral, business education, development and promotion, governmental representation and community involvement.
