The state-of-the-art Elmhurst Public Library offers more than 300,000 books, audiobooks, CDs, CD-ROMs, videos and DVDs, and hundreds of magazine and newspaper subscriptions as well as public meeting rooms, group and silent study rooms, a computer training lab, more than 80 public computers. Internet access from your laptop, free storytimes and programs for children and adults, a drive up window, coffee bar and more.
Professional librarians are ready to answer questions in person at the library, by phone or by e-mail at reference@elmhurst.org. The library’s catalog, databases and other services such as reserving and renewing books online are available to Elmhurst Public
Library cardholders from the library’s website. The library also offers services for Elmhurst residents with special needs, including home delivery of books to qualified homebound citizens.

One of the finest small-college libraries in the Midwest, Elmhurst College's A.C. Buehler Library is designed to meet the needs of both the college and the greater community for reading and study. The library is strong in its commitment to information literacy and in providing helpful service to its patrons.
The library is a member of the Suburban Library System (which enables patrons with a valid SLS library card to check out two books per visit), and a participant in ILLINET Online, a computer catalog of materials in more than 45 academic libraries in Illinois.
Elmhurst College’s unparalleled collection of Chicago Imagist art is displayed throughout the library.
