The result of more than 70 years of collecting by the Joseph F. Lizzadro Sr. and family, the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art shares the eternal beauty of gemstones and promotes the study of earth science.
The museum houses one of the largest collections of Chinese Jade carvings in the country. Other exhibits include animal dioramas, mineral specimens, gemstones, and push button exhibits of geological phenomena.
The museum offers a unique Gift Shop and tours are available with reservations. Educational programs are held on select Saturdays.

The Theatre Historical Society of America is a 1,100 member national non-profit organization founded in 1969 which is interested in the history of theatre buildings. Its national headquarters is located in restored second floor space in the York Theatre building.
The THS American Movie Palace Museum includes artifacts, renderings, photos, ads and other exhibits relating to the great motion picture palaces built in all parts of the U.S. The Avalon Video Theatre is a large-scale model of Chicago’s 1927 Avalon Theatre. A large screen TV on-stage allows for viewing of archive videos about theatres across the country.
Tours for small groups can be arranged, as can off-site slide shows.
