LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF ELMHURST

Coming off its 75th Anniversary in 2007, the League of Women Voters is a non-partisan, political organization for men and women of voting age.
The League's mission is to:
* Encourage the information and active participation of citizens in government;
* Increase understanding of major policy issues; and
* Influence public policy through education and advocacy.
With its focus on study of and action on political issues, the League neither supports nor opposes political parties or candidates for elected or appointed office.
Prior to elections, the League sponsors candidate forums, registers voters and compiles non-partisan on-line voters guides.
VOTER REGISTRATION
Except for 28 days prior to an election, Elmhurst residents may register to vote at any time at the City Clerk's Office, Elmhurst City Hall, 209 North York Street, on Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (except Fridays at lunch).
Voter applicants must provide two forms or identification, both including name and signature, one with address.
