The Art@York program continues on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, with a screening of the comedy-drama “Youth” at the York Theatre, 150 N. York Street in downtown Elmhurst. The film will be shown at 1 and 7 PM. Admission is $6.50 matinee and $9 evening per person; seniors are $5 for the matinee. For more information, please visit www.classicinemas.com.

“Youth” is about two longtime friends vacationing in the Swiss Alps. Oscar winning actor Michael Caine plays Fred, an acclaimed composer and conductor, who brings along his daughter (Rachel Weisz) and best friend Mick (Harvey Keitel), a renowned filmmaker. (R/124 minutes)

While Mick scrambles to finish the screenplay for what he imagines will be his last important film, Fred has no intention of resuming his musical career. The two men reflect on their past, each finding that some of the most important experiences can come later in life.

In response to many requests for more art-related films at the York Theatre, Classic Cinemas recently introduced the new program, Art@York, which features art and foreign movies on the second Wednesday of every month.
