The DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau is the county’s official destination marketing organization. Formed in 1987, the not-for-profit organization is certified by the Illinois Bureau of Tourism to actively market the county to individual visitors and meeting/event planners as an enticing destination for both business and leisure travel. Elmhurst is among 34 municipalities served by the DuPage CVB.

The City of Elmhurst’s Visitor & Tourism Department was created in 1999 to work with area hotels, businesses and organizations in attracting visitors and tourists through mutually beneficial promotion of the city’s museums, theaters, concerts, cultural life and special events such as the Elmhurst Jaycees Carnival and Cool Cars Under the Stars.
