Elmhurst accomplishes its primary mission of enabling students to achieve their full potential by providing a range of high-quality academic offerings—51 majors and programs of study in 22 departments and nine graduate degree programs—to 3,100 undergraduate and graduate students. 
 

The college is recognized for the excellence of its programs and faculty.  A faculty member, not a teaching assistant, teaches every class, and more than 92 percent of them hold the highest degree in their academic field.  The average class has 19 students.

Year after year, “America’s Best Colleges” (the annual survey by U.S. News and World Report) ranks Elmhurst Top 10 both as a Midwest Comprehensive College and  “best value” for the education dollar.
