Established in 1950, the Spring Road Business Association is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote a sense of community and local commerce through its sponsorship of year-round events and activities.

In 2010, new street lighting and sidewalks were installed throughout Spring Road’s Business District funded in part by business property owners within the Special Service Area created by the City in partnership with the Association.

The association’s annual shopping promotions and special events range from the Easter egg hunt to holiday tree lighting and sleigh rides, from summer concerts at the Gazebo to the Spring Road Pet Parade.

Started as a Spring Road event — and now organized by its own committee — Elmhurst annually stages the second largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Chicagoland.
